You may have Anxiety PATTERNS If you:

  • Easily disassociate from situations or your physical body by staying in your mind. (This technique helps you not to feel things.)

  • Have ideas that loop in your head and become compulsive thoughts and feelings.

  • Are uncomfortable being happy.

  • Have a nervous system that is on high alert most/or all the time, and you find it hard to relax.

  • Try to relax, and your mind jumps quickly to the list of things you still need to do or searches for other distractions.

  • Regularly struggle with indecision.

and anxiety rules our lives.

Being anxious becomes normal. It can even become our preferred way of being.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT You CAN LEARN TO IDENTIFY & STOP YOUR anxiety PATTERNS.


Anxiety can be caused by the inability to shed, remove, or “digest” the energy produced in a fight, flight or freeze response. Wild animals will release survival energy; they pant, shake, run, etc., when a threat has passed. This innate and fundamental built-in mechanism protects Zebras and other prey from lions, tigers, and bears because they have the survival instinct to flee. After fleeing, when they are safe, they release any extra survival energy from their system, which returns them to a state of balance, or homeostasis, also called “regulation.”

Humans with stuck or unreleased survival energy are often out of balance and to the point of overload, so we respond to everything in our environment as if it’s dangerous. We lose the ability to distinguish between what’s dangerous and what’s not, and we feel like danger is around every corner, so we are ready to freeze, flee, or fight at all times. This is particularly true if we’ve experienced trauma or some extreme danger at any point in our lives but did not release the survival energy resulting from trauma.

Our nervous systems can become so accustomed to stuck survival energy that we become “comfortable with being uncomfortable.” We reach the point where we feel best when our bodies constantly look for danger because it has become our new normal. And we’ve lost the ability to distinguish between a hungry lion, an angry boss, or an agitated child; everything feels threatening and makes us anxious.
