Doorway Magick

Are you uncomfortable with transition?

Do you avoid sitting in the state of transition?

Are you someone who runs and jumps through transition, crashing from one side to the other?

Does it feel uncomfortable to be in two places at the same time, unsure of where you really belong?

Do you lean away from the uncomfortable sensation rather than leaning into it?

Does it make you feel unstable and is that lack of stability something that is hard to tolerate?

If you are not here or there….. Where are you?

If those questions made you pause and reflect or if they felt uncomfortable for you then I would encourage you to get good and uncomfortable with me. The transition can be beautiful if you can get past the need to control it. Start with something simple, find a doorway. Feel the room on one side, describe it for me. Now, walk through and stand in the other room, feel the room, describe it for me. Now, sit in the doorway. What does it feel like to be there. Not in the kitchen or in the living room for example. What does the transition feel like? Spend some time there, don’t just run through this exercise. Meditate in the doorway, what does the doorway have to teach you?

Now, find a doorway in life that you are rushing through. Meditate on what it feel like on one side and what it feels like on the other. Sit in the middle and ask what the doorway or transition point has to teach you. Don’t rush through the doorway.
