I looked out the passenger side of the car watching the trees move in the opposite direction almost faster than I could focus on them. It was early morning and there was almost no one on the road. As I sat in silence I found my mind drifting from one topic to another. I noticed the flow of thoughts and didn’t try to control it.Then, it landed on one particular topic. Immediately, I noticed my body's reaction. I crossed my legs and then my arms. I looked down at the reaction and laughed. 

“I see you, body” I thought to myself.

There has been resistance all along. If I was being completely honest the resistance around this topic had rolled from one situation to another. It was odd, I hadn’t given this resistance a voice. In fact, I had tried to deny the resistance. Why, I wondered to myself. Why would I try to deny something that was just so clear. What inside of you thinks that you should force and control this situation I asked myself. 

I let out a big sigh without realizing it.

“Are you ok?” he asked.

I looked over at him in the driver's seat.

“Yes” I said back and flashed a smile. 

I turned and looked out the window again. I closed my eyes, pushed my head back into the headrest and spoke to the universe. 

“I am open to opportunities that are different from the one that I am experiencing” I started clearly to the universe.

The next day, a couple walked past me with bright red shirts with bold white writing. The words on their shirts were a literal sign from the universe.  I laughed because it was such a blatant sign……. The only way that it could have been a more clear sign was if it was blinking and flashing. 

“I see you, universe” I smiled to myself and started engaging in conversation with the couple.
